Movie Journaling: The Gentlemen!

Movie Journaling: The Gentlemen

Before the World Imploded

I’m doing some movie journaling of The Gentlemen! Now, this was actually the last film I saw in a movie theater, back on January 24, 2022, before the world imploded. I’ve been meaning to document The Gentlemen in my movie journal since I watched it the first time but kept putting it off. Well, two years later I’m finally getting to it! By now I’ve seen this movie ad nauseum and I just love it! I even saved my ticket and receipt to add in. Below is my process video creating this spread for The Gentlemen. I’m actually glad I waited so long because it came out perfect!

TV/Movie Journal Entry: See!

My latest TV/Movie Journal entry features the Apple+ show See! As I have expressed in this post, I absolutely this series. See stars Jason Mamoa, Alfre Woodard, and Syliva Hoeks and is about a dystopian future where the human race has lost its sense of sight. Until Baba Voss and his wife give birth to sighted twins, changing everything.

I’m Starting a TV/Movie Journal!

TV/Movie Journal

Starting a TV/Movie Journal

I absolutely love entertainment and had the idea to begin a TV/Movie Journal. After having insomnia in December, I’m realizing how many shows and movies I get through in a month.  I want to do more to document them besides just posting on Facebook to my friends.  So I decided to add yet another journal to my collection and begin journaling about the shows and movies I’m loving in particular and also make a note of the ones I do not.

It’s funny to me because I never really know who is paying attention to me sometimes. So when my friends chime in on my Facebook posts about certain shows or movies we’ve both watched it’s a lot of fun. And I love hearing other’s perspectives on the same shows. So I thought this would be a fun way for me to not only record my shows and movies but to engage an audience and get their opinions as well! Since this project is new for me, I’m just going to jump in and start and hope like the rest of my journals, I find a style that that suits me.  I’m sure this will change and morph over time as I find my groove, so join me on my new journaling journey!

Entry One: Workin’ Moms

My first entry is Workin’ Moms and I have the corresponding #JournalWithMe linked below if you’re interested in seeing my progress or the materials I used in creating this spread.

If you’ve watched Workin’ Moms I’d love to hear your thoughts on the show! Leave me a comment down below! For TV Show recommendations you can check here and here!

The Last Ten Days: Gratitude Documented 2019!

The Last Ten Days

The last ten days of this series is done! I cannot believe I completed this project! I really enjoyed switching up my routine when it comes to my Gratitude Journaling. But it has also given me an appreciation for the way that I usually record and journal my Gratitude. This project has definitely pushed my creativity to another level and for that I am thankful!

21 and 22

Days 21 and 22 feature the themes Edify and Prayer. I absolutely love the collaging on these pages.
The Last Ten Days

Days 23 and 24

I was stumped with these pages so I did a bit of prep. Thankfully that kicked my ideas into high gear and I came out with this spread for Edify and Love.
The Last Ten Days

Days 25 and 26

For themes of Compassion and Generosity, all I thought was that I wanted to do a black and white spread. Very pleased with the end result!
Days 25 and 26

Days 27 and 28

Admittedly the struggle was real with these pages. Thankfully I managed to produce a spread I’m cool with.
Protection and Family

Days 29 & 30

The last two days! These pages, featuring the themes of Restoration and Friendship, were pretty simple but lovely.
Restoration and Friendship

Yay! Gratitude Documented 2019 is complete! I’m proud of myself for getting the whole project done and not falling behind. I absolutely enjoyed this project and most likely will be participating next year as well. Just in one short month I can track my growth and pushed the limits of my creativity. And for that, I will always be grateful. For my other posts on Gratitude Documented you can check my links here, here, and here. The Second Ten Days: Gratitude Documented 2019!

The Second Ten Days

The Second Ten days of Gratitude Documented 2019 has really brought my creativity out and has been such fun. Switching my routine up has really been beneficial for me. And although I’ve found it challenging, it has definitely helped me to grow. So here are the next ten days in pictures!

11 and 12

Pages 11 and 12 features the themes Glory and Scripture. I was a little uncertain with this spread, but it came out WAY better than expected. It is now one of my favorites of the entire journal so far.
Days 11 & 12

13 and 14

Again I surprised myself with this layout. Featureing the themes of Mercy and Discipline, I pulled out a medium I rarely use and absolutely love the end result.

15 and 16

Admittedly I struggled with this layout. I did keep it simple and overall I’m pleased with the turnout. These pages feature Home and Legacy which can go hand in hand.
Pages 15 & 16

17 and 18

Also keeping it simple here for Hope and Heritage with scrap paper and collaging elements.
Pages 17 & 18

19 & 20

These pages feature the themes of Forgiveness a New Song. I had a thought about it and they came together fairly quickly.
19 & 20

I have to thank Illustrated Faith for this annual series. It has really pushed me and drawn out creativity I didn’t know I had within me. My other posts about the Gratitude Documented 2019 series can be found here and here!
